Droplets
Here at The Well, we call our children’s ministry Droplets. We do not view this ministry as a babysitting service, but rather an opportunity to partner with parents to “train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)
We believe the Lord can and does speak to our children. We desire to encourage them to listen to their Heavenly Father and learn His ways. We foster this by teaching foundational truths, using biblical language, teaching, demonstrating, and partaking in worship and prayer, and creating an environment where children can freely grow in their walk with Christ.
What a typical sunday looks like
A typical Sunday morning in Droplets starts at 9:45 am, when children can begin checking in with their parents in our main sanctuary building. Droplets volunteers will assist families in checking-in their children before the main worship service begins at 10 am. During the singing portion of our main service, children will remain with their parents in the main sanctuary. After the singing ends, children will be dismissed with their leaders to cross the parking lot to our Droplets building, where they will enjoy free play, worship, interactive teaching, and a snack before the adults’ Bible teaching ends. Parents are then asked to return to the Droplets building to pick-up their child(ren).
Young Kids
Our youngest children’s curriculum is based off of 16 foundational questions and answers that we study and teach throughout the year. The hope is that these questions and answers will help to establish foundational knowledge of the Christian faith at an early age. In our culture, so many young adults leave their childhood faith when they begin to experience the world and encounter questions that they do not know how to answer. We hope to partner with parents by teaching and providing family resources to help you start asking and answering these questions at home.
Older Kiddos
Our older children’s curriculum is centered on establishing a basic knowledge of the Bible. We hope children will leave this program knowing the books of the bible, how to find chapters and verses, and how to apply scripture to their lives. We ultimately cannot do all of this only on Sunday morning. Therefore, we provide parent resources so that parents can review and walk with their children each week as they develop a stronger Bible knowledge. Our desire is that children feel comfortable with studying the Bible so that they may seek God’s word in their personal walk with Him. We teach Bible basics through interactive study, sword drills, scripture memorization, and Bible games.
volunteers
We are so thankful for people with servant hearts and especially those who want to teach and serve the youngest among us! We need volunteers for infants, 2-5-year-olds and 6-10 year-olds. If you are interested in serving in our children’s ministry, stop by and talk with one of the Droplets volunteers on Sunday morning. We require all our volunteers to fill out a volunteer application and do a background screening. Once these are completed, a team member will show you the ropes and get you plugged in!
